Humm….

Soundtrack: RaiRak PaYak KangFu

I was out of the loop for a while couldn’t find any lakorn I would love to follow. However, I would love to mention RaiRak PaYak KangFu (aka Kang Fu Fighting Lover) a lovely parody of a Kang Fu fighting series which, imo, the producer was so brave to push ahead and bring it to life.

RaiRak

The first episode, I thought, what the heck they were trying to deliver, and after that I was on and off with this lakorn until recently, its craziness/ridiculousness started to make sense and turned into an ever hilarious parody I’ve seen in Thai lakorn. The cinematography, the costumes and the props (said to be a vintage period lakorn LOL) so far were well thought of. The name of each fighting piece (of martial arts) and the results of it that the Kang Fu masters (in this lakorn) taught their disciples, especially “Kang Fu” (the hero’s name portrayed by Film Rattapoom), were so funny that it made me laugh out loud and dare not translating it as I could, perhaps, ruin its hidden sense of humor.

The song here didn’t catch my ears at first but I’ve read many children caught on and loved to sing it so I feel like translating it here.

Song title: Mai Yom Kom Hua (won’t bow down)

Artist: Film Rattapoom

Translation of the lyrics:

The path of life is not easy

Can’t only lie down and wait

When eyes opened to (born into)  the word “not having as much as others”….Yeah! Yeah!

Walk straight into it and wade though it

Standing firm to become successful

If fail, will try again

The sky and earth may have drawn (my) destiny, but I will fight to climb over it

Even if I lose every time, and no matter how many times I have to fall, I won’t be discouraged

Even if it’s destiny or destined by the sky, won’t bow down to it

—–

Insisting that I’m ready to fight, and with you as my strength, I will fight even greater

Scared of nothing as long as you are here….Yeah! Yeah!

Walk straight into it and wade though it

Standing firm to become successful

If fail, will try again

—–

The sky and earth may have drawn (my) destiny, but I will fight to climb over it

Even if I lose every time, and no matter how many times I have to fall, I won’t be discouraged

Even if it’s destiny or destined by the sky, won’t bow down to it

Even if I lose every time, and no matter how many times I have to fall, I won’t be discouraged

If today I can do only this much, tomorrow must be better

There must be our time one day

—–

Fighting! You  can fight as long as your mind set to fight!

Fighting! The harder it is, the more I want to fight!

Fighting! You  can fight as long as your mind set to fight!

Fighting! The harder it is, the more I want to fight!

Teaser

“You read this book again, and every time you would think you are the (martial art) master from this book.”

“Help!”

“At this moment, senior’s mother (he calls himself senior disciple) already knew the trouble (you) junior disciple created!” (Yes, the younger boy is the senior…LOL)

“If I didn’t give you the chance, you would become a street thug by now.”

“You knew that…yet you taught him that piece of martial art?!”

“No, I didn’t.”

“Don’t just say it.”

“RaiRak PaYak KangFu premieres this September 21.”

🙂 Not familiar with the leading lady but Film is hilarious.
