It’s time for Yoon Eun-hye’s new drama, Mi-rae’s Choice.
Alright, her hair…oh well, may be it’s sending some message about her character that we don’t know yet, right? Right?!
–Yoon Eun-hye as Na Mi-rae
A bright and lovable 32-year-old who spends her days chanting to herself, “I’m okay!” and barely scrapes by in her job as a call center agent. But one day her future self appears in front of her and changes her life. She begins to pursue her dream of becoming a television writer.
–Choi Myung-gil as Na Mi-rae’s future self
-Lee Dong-gun as Kim Shin
The network’s lead news anchor. He can be prickly, but is also highly principled and upright.
-Jung Yong-hwa as Park Se-joo
The CEO’s grandson who is set to inherit the network. He went to a film school in America, and is masquerading as a lowly cameraman (or VJ). He dreams of building a media conglomerate.
-Han Chae-ah as Seo Yoo-kyung
A reporter on the morning show. Outwardly cute, she is smart and cunning.
Set in the world of television broadcasting, Na Mi-rae travels back in time to prevent her 32-year-old self from marrying news anchor Kim Shin, thus sending her past self down a different path and enabling her to pursue the things she really wanted in life.
Screenwriter: Hong Jin-ah (her previous works such as The King 2 Hearts, Beethoven Virus)
Ahem….to be honest, all I’m looking forward to is this man…..
I mean, how long has it been that we haven’t seen him around? Aww…getting excited! I’m even willing to forgive the drama in advance if the story doesn’t come out that reasonable, and for these two…
I love them already even if there’s a chance he may turn out to be a lovable genuine robot. For Yoon Eun-hye, I really really hope this drama will do her some justice. Who could sport a fruit-printed skirt and green socks yet still looks good just like her?
Personally, I think 20 episodes are a bit too long for this kind of story so I suspect there will be some dramatic turns along the way? If one day an ajumma (old lady) comes to me that she’s my true self in the future, I will probably hug her and really listen to her, especially, a chance to correct the mistake of choosing a hottie ages ago, and who else will mean well for you if it’s not your own self, right? But if not, then there must be some misunderstandings under the writer’s sleeves somewhere in time. It will be sad though if in the end Mirae can’t fight fate and ends up heading on the same path again, because that would mean we have wasted 20-episodes of our life to come back to the exact same spot with her too, haha.
